Vol. 504 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Donal Carey

Question:

181 Mr. D. Carey asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Clare will be paid under the REP scheme. [13020/99]

This application is currently being processed and payment will be made shortly.

Ivan Yates

Question:

182 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if special beef premium payments and entitlements will be reviewed and issued to a person (details supplied) in County Wexford in view of the additional data he has submitted in relation to his stocking density. [13096/99]

The person named applied for special beef premium in respect of five animals on 5 February 1998. The milk quota details held on his area aid file were incorrect and gave rise to a stocking density problem. However, these details have since been amended to reflect the correct quota amount of 80,336 gallons.

As a result of the above adjustment the total amount of £406.70 due under the special beef pre mium applications will be issued minus an amount of £261.42 which was an overpayment which arose as a result of moneys paid under the 1996 BSE compensation package.

Michael Finucane

Question:

183 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason for the delay in paying ten month and 22 month beef premia to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick in view of the fact he does not have a milk quota. [13027/99]

The person named has now confirmed that he does not have a milk quota for 1998. Payment of 1998 special beef premium balances could not issue until the amount by which the national quota had been exceeded was determined. Payment of the full amount due under the ten month scheme issued to the person named on 17 May 1999 and payment in respect of the 22 month premium will issue as soon as possible.
