Vol. 504 No. 7

Written Answers. - Home-School Liaison Scheme.

Pat Carey

Question:

359 Mr. P. Carey asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will allocate a home- school liaison teacher in its own right for the coming school year to Scoil an t-Seachtar Laoch, Ballymun Road, Dublin 11. [12719/99]

My Department is currently making arrangements to extend the home-school-community liaison service to all first and second level schools which have disadvantaged area status. This extension of service will be effective from September next and will include the school to which the Deputy refers.

Details of the precise arrangements which will apply to each participating school have not yet been finalised. My Department will be in contact with the school in question shortly regarding the arrangements for its inclusion in the home-school-community liaison scheme.
