Vol. 504 No. 7

Written Answers. - Traffic Congestion.

Theresa Ahearn

Question:

50 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will provide funding to Grange national school, Clonmel, County Tipperary, to resolve the dangerous traffic congestion at the school; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11678/99]

The resolution of traffic congestion at a primary school is not as a general rule a matter for my Department's building unit. However, if the school management wish to propose a specific solution to the problem, the application submitted will be considered and the school manager will be informed of the outcome in due course.

I might add that my Department has no record of having received an application from the management of Grange national school, Clonmel, County Tipperary regarding any resolution of traffic congestion at the school.
