103 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have investigations made into the delay in providing an eye operation for a person (details supplied) in County Carlow who is on the waiting list for over a year for Ardkeen Hospital, Waterford; the reason for the delay; and if his case will be expedited. The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Carlow in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
