31 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will report on his recent meeting with the chief executive of the Football Association of Ireland; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [12779/99]
While there has been contact between my Department and the FAI in recent weeks, I have not had any recent formal meeting with the chief executive of the Football Association of Ireland. The Irish Sports Council also maintains ongoing contact with the FAI as it does with all the recognised national governing bodies of sport.
