70 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have investigations made into the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny who is awaiting hospitalisation; and when he will be called for an operation. [15593/99]

The provision of medical treatment in this instance is the responsibility of St. Vincent's Hospital. I have asked the chief executive officer of the hospital to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
