Vol. 506 No. 3

Written Answers. - Roads Projects.

Brendan Kenneally

Question:

77 Mr. Kenneally asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the plans, if any, he has for a new national motorway system; if this system will include the Dublin to Waterford route; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15596/99]

The National Development Plan 2000-2006, which is in the course of preparation, will place particular emphasis on investment in physical infrastructure and, in the transport area, provide for further acceleration of the national roads investment programme. The plan will address strategic issues relating to the development of road and other infrastructure and decisions on these will be announced in due course.
