29 Proinsias De Rossa asked the Minister for Education and Science the latest position regarding the review of options for the future administration of the student support services; when it will be completed; if new procedures will be in place for the next academic year; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My officials are participating in a joint working group with officials of the Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs which is undertaking a detailed review of the administration of the student support schemes. I have previously indicated that no irrevocable decisions will be taken on any future arrangements without appropriate consultation with all interested parties. A date for completion of the work has not been identified.
