The information requested by the Deputy concerning the number of remedial teachers serving clusters of more than five schools is not readily available in my Department.
My Department is currently engaged in extending the remedial service to all primary schools with effect from September next. This extension of service will involve the creation of a significant number of new clusters of schools and modification of some existing clusters. Details of the precise composition of all the resulting clus ters and the number of these which will serve more than five schools are not yet available.
