Question:221 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in issuing P60s to teachers; and when they will be issued. [15689/99]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that P60s for primary teachers were issued on 13 May and P60s for secondary and community-comprehensive teachers were issued on 30 May.
If the Deputy is aware of any primary, secondary or community-comprehensive teacher who has not yet received a P60, I will arrange to have the matter pursued within my Department.
The issue of P60s for vocational teachers is a matter for the relevant vocational education committee.
