72 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the number of tenant and purchaser transactions concluded by local authorities to date in 1999 and in each of the past three years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16197/99]

Statistics on sales completed under the tenant purchase scheme by local authorities in the period to 31 March 1999 and for the preceding three years are published in my Department's housing statistics bulletins, copies of which are available in the Oireachtas Library.
