148 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the delay in the case of a person (details supplied) in Kilkenny who is waiting for an urgent nose operation at Ardkeen Hospital, Waterford, and has been informed that he may have to wait until December 1999 or January 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The provision of medical services to eligible persons in County Kilkenny in this instance is the statutory responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
