Vol. 507 No. 2

Written Answers. - Incremental Credit.

Tony Gregory

Question:

291 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will review the decision not to allow incremental credit in respect of the teaching service from 1989 to 1991 at Gaelscoil na bhFál, Béal Feirste, of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 7 in view of the special cir cumstances of the Gaelscoil at that time. [16573/99]

Incremental credit in respect of teaching service outside the State can be awarded only where the service has been given in a publicly funded school, and where the school is subject to State inspection. In the case in question, the service did not meet these criteria and accordingly the application was disallowed. I am not aware of the circumstances of the Gaelscoil to which the Deputy refers. However, should the Deputy wish to provide details of such circumstances I will arrange to have the case re-examined in my Department.
