Vol. 508 No. 1

Written Answers. - Departmental Properties.

Billy Timmins

Question:

692 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Social, Community and Family Affairs if his Department disposed of any assets or property with a value of or greater than £200,000 between 1987 and 1992 inclusive without going to public tender; if so, if he will give details and circumstances of these sales; and the reason for the decision not to go to public tender. [18069/99]

The Department did not dispose of any assets or property with a value of or greater than £200,000 between 1987 and 1992.

All buildings used by the Department, with the exception of the Department's headquarters building, which is owned by the social insurance fund, are leased or owned by the Office of Public Works.
