835 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Education and Science the timetable for development and construction of the new school on the greenfield site at Coláiste Chionn Torc, County Westmeath, in view of the recent purchase by his Department of the lands for the site; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Education and Science (Mr. Martin):

County Westmeath Vocational Education Committee is in the process of acquiring a greenfield site at Castlepollard for the siting of a new vocational school to replace the existing Coláiste Coinn Torc. The architectural design of the school will proceed while the acquisition is being negotiated.
