917 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if, further to Parliamentary Question Nos. 598 of 20 April 1999 and 223 of 22 June 1999, the pay claim by general operatives employed by vocational education committees has been finalised. [18129/99]

My Department, in tandem with the relevant managerial bodies, is currently finalising the productivity measures necessary for an offer to be made to the unions concerned.
