168 Mr. Stanton asked the Minister for Health and Children if, further to Parliamentary Question No. 18 of 22 June 1999, the national cancer registry has completed its national report in respect of 1996 and 1997 and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19319/99]

The national cancer registry's report in respect of 1996 is to be published on 18 October next. I will arrange to have a copy forwarded to the Deputy. I understand that the report in respect of 1997 will be available in the next few months.
