Question:190 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he has approved the details, designs and costings in relation to the development of a library at Newtown House, Leixlip, County Kildare. [19198/99]

Kildare County Council submitted a detailed design and cost plan in relation to Newtown House, Leixlip, to my Department in June 1999. Additional information was subsequently requested from the local authority in relation to a number of items in the plan. When this information is received and examined I will be in a position to make a decision regarding the approval of the detailed cost and design proposals.
