229 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Education and Science if a person (details supplied) in County Wexford will be approved for a higher education grant for his attendance at Carlow Institute of Technology as a mature student in view of his medical and financial circumstances. [19232/99]

My Department has raised the case concerned with County Wexford VEC and is awaiting some additional information sought. I will revert to the Deputy on the matter as soon as possible.
