Vol. 508 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Access.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

260 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the concerns of parents regarding the inadequacy and safety of roads, footpaths and general access to St. Wolstan's community school, Ballymakealy, Celbridge, County Kildare; if such matters were given sufficient consideration at design stage; if he intends to provide any improvement to meet these concerns in the near future; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [19274/99]

I understand that there are considerable traffic management difficulties at the entrance to the St. Wolstan's community school in Celbridge. Officials of the building unit of my Department are arranging to meet with officials of Kildare County Council and the management authorities of the school to determine how these difficulties can best be resolved.
