Vol. 509 No. 1

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Mary Coughlan

Question:

74 Ms Coughlan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the decision he will make regarding the Garda barracks in Killybegs, County Donegal; if his attention has been drawn to the deplorable condition of the building; the timescale his Department has regarding the refurbishment or replacement of the building; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17460/99]

As I informed the Deputy in reply to Question No. 743 of 29 September 1999, various options for the development of facilities at Killybegs Garda station, County Donegal, are under active investigation, including the provision of a new Garda station on the existing site or on a greenfield site. It is not possible to provide a timescale on progress at this stage.
