145 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if her attention has been drawn to the concern of the employees of Aer Rianta at Shannon Airport at the proposal to privatise the company; and if she will outline her position on the matter. [19857/99]
I met a delegation from the Aer Rianta group of unions, including a representative from Shannon, last month. We discussed the unions' views on the future strategic direction of Aer Rianta.
Advisers have been appointed jointly by myself and the Minister for Finance to assist in the examination of Aer Rianta's own report of April 1999 on the future strategic direction of the Aer Rianta group as a whole. The advisers' report, which will be completed in the near future, will assist me in my discussions on these matters with my Cabinet colleagues.
