Question:82 Mr. Power asked the Minister for Defence the progress, if any, made in relation to increasing the number of Army personnel at the Curragh; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20029/99]

The strength of the Defence Forces training centre, Curragh and logistics base, Curragh, currently exceed the establishment as prescribed by the military authorities in Administrative Instruction CS 4, by 161 and 65 personnel respectively. There are, therefore, no plans to increase the number of personnel at the Curragh.
