Vol. 509 No. 3

Written Answers. - Traffic Regulation.

Phil Hogan

Question:

55 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science the initiatives, if any, he has planned to facilitate the reduction of peak hour traffic generated by schools in urban centres. [20005/99]

The Deputy will appreciate that I have no function in relation to the introduction of measures to control traffic generated by schools.

The introduction of any such measure is a matter appropriate to the authorities responsible for traffic regulation, i.e. the Department of the Environment and Local Government and the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform.
