207 Mr. McGrath asked the Minister for Finance the amount of the national debt for each of the past ten years; the annual cost of servicing that debt; the cost as a percentage of tax collected from the PAYE sector in each of those years; and the percentage of this debt sourced within Ireland for each year. The information sought by the Deputy, as at each year end, is set out in the following tabular statement. With regard to the "percentage of this debt sourced within Ireland", I have assumed this to mean that portion of the national debt denominated in Irish pounds.
