Vol. 509 No. 4

Written Answers. - Central Fisheries Board.

Pádraic McCormack

Question:

110 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the plans, if any, he has to allocate funding to the Central Fisheries Board to enable it to set up a website on the Internet to develop, market and promote angling; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20273/99]

I am aware that the Central Fisheries Board has developed a funding proposal for a website project incorporating a tourist angling information database under the tourism angling measure of the Operational Programme for Tourism 1994-1999. A decision on the funding of the project is a matter for the TAM management committee having regard to the criteria applicable to the measure and in light of remaining available funding.
