115 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs the number of first-time passports issued in each of the past three years. [20254/99]

The number of first-time passports issued by the passport offices in Dublin and Cork and by Irish embassies and consulates abroad in the years 1996, 1997 and 1998 was 148,470, 150,236 and 164,769, respectively.
