I propose to answer Questions Nos. 118 and 119 together.
It is expected that the advisers which were appointed jointly by myself and the Minister for Finance to assist in the examination of Aer Rianta's strategic direction will complete their work in the near future. While I have not been presented with a draft of the advisers' report, I understand that officials of both Departments have recently received a draft of the report for discussion purposes with the advisers with a view to finalising the report in the coming weeks.
Following the receipt of their report and consideration of their recommendations, I will consult with my Cabinet colleagues in the normal way and then report to Government with specific recommendations in regard to the future of Aer Rianta. It would not be appropriate for me at this point to speculate on what those recommendations will be.
Any decision on the future strategic direction of Aer Rianta, including any decision in relation to the future ownership position of Cork airport, will be a matter for Government.
