Vol. 509 No. 5

Written Answers. - Export Licences.

Nora Owen

Question:

80 Mrs. Owen asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment further to Parliamentary Question No. 122 of 12 October 1999, the export licences, if any, she has issued to the company in Wicklow producing mercuric iodide soap; the countries to which this company is exporting this product; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [20900/99]

As mercuric iodide soap is not subject to any export controls operated by my Department, no export licences were issued for this product.

I do not have available to me comprehensive details of exports by this company, but I under stand that the product in question is sold mainly in African countries.
