246 Mr. Higgins (Dublin West) asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a copy of the guidelines for the registration of milk production holdings under the national regulations (SI No. 9 of 1996) was issued to the various interested parties and, in particular, to dairy farmers. [21487/99]
The guidelines for the registration of holdings under SI No. 9 of 1996, which were drawn up in consultation with all the interested parties in the dairy industry were made available at the time to the industry and farming organisations, including the dairy co-operatives. While they were not circulated by the Department to individual dairy farmers they were made available on application.
