Vol. 509 No. 6

Written Answers. - Drugs Refund Scheme.

Rory O'Hanlon

Question:

342 Dr. O'Hanlon asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of applications for the new drugs subsidisation scheme; the number approved in each health board area; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [21323/99]

Because of differences in counting applications by health boards as between family units and individual family members, there are difficulties in compiling uniform information on applications at present. When the information is available to me, I will forward it to the Deputy.

Information on the number of cards that have issued in respect of each health board area is as follows:–
