Written Answers. - Special Educational Needs.
I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has sanctioned a full-time special needs assistant post to cater for two pupils, including the pupil in question. The school involved has recently been notified of this allocation. A resource teacher post has also been sanctioned on a shared basis with two other schools in the area. The pupil referred to by the Deputy is included in this resource teacher's caseload. My Department has also sanctioned a grant of £1,500 for the purchase of computer equipment for the pupil in question.
