Vol. 510 No. 3

Written Answers. - Intervention Beef Stocks.

Matt Brennan

Question:

37 Mr. M. Brennan asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the stocks of Irish intervention beef currently held; the timetable for their sale; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22333/99]

The entire intervention beef stock now in store – approximately 10,000 tonnes – is fully contracted for sale and is expected to be disposed of before the end of the year.

There are no stocks of Irish intervention beef currently available for sale.
