102 Mr. Kenneally asked the Taoiseach when payment will be made to persons (details supplied) in County Waterford who participated in the 1999 household budget survey; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22576/99]

The household budget survey, which commenced in June 1999, is a largescale national survey undertaken every five years. This survey collects up-to-date information on the expenditure patterns and income levels of different types of private households.

Each participating, household contributes information over a two week period and a total of approximately 8,000 households take part in the survey over a 12 month period. In appreciation of their co-operation each participant aged 15 years and over receives a £10ex gratia payment.

To date 90 households in Waterford have participated in the survey and gratuity payments have been issued to 65 of these. Payments were issued on 4 October 1999.
