142 Mr. Kirk asked the Minister for Health and Children the plans, if any, he has to reduce the 40 years service requirement for pension qualification for mental handicap nurses; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22900/99]

I have no plans to reduce the 40 years service requirement for pension qualification for mental handicap nurses. This is the standard service requirement for most grades in the public service.
