I understand that the person referred to by the Deputy has applied to County Carlow Vocational Education Committee for grant aid under the Vocational Education Committees' Scholarship Scheme to pursue a degree course at Carlow IT during the 1999/2000 academic year.
County Carlow VEC has requested the candidate to submit additional details relating to his previous study in the UK in order to facilitate an assessment of his application. The VEC will be in a position to make a decision on the candidate's eligibility for funding on receipt of all the necessary information.
