101 Mr. Kenny asked the Taoiseach the number of farms in County Mayo of (i) less than 20 acres, (ii) between 20 and 50 acres, (iii) between 50 and 75 acres, (iv) between 75 and 100 acres, (v) between 100 and 200 acres and (vi) excess of 200 acres; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The estimated number of farms in County Mayo in 1997 from the CSO Farm Structure Survey is listed as follows:

102 Mr. Kenny asked the Taoiseach the number of farmers farming full time ten years ago and five years ago; the number now involved in full-time farming in County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23478/99]

The precise information requested by the Deputy is not available. However, estimates have been compiled for 1987, 1993 and 1997 from the CSO Farm Structure Survey based on whether farmwork was returned as a sole or subsidiary occupation.
