Vol. 511 No. 2

Written Answers. - General Practitioner Services.

Bernard Allen

Question:

148 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the steps, if any, he has taken to ensure that general practitioners do not withdraw services to the Garda due to an ongoing pay dispute. [23872/99]

Discussions are ongoing with the Irish Medical Organisation in relation to the level of fees payable to general practitioners who perform medico-legal work on behalf of the Garda Síochána. It is hoped to conclude these discussions in the near future.
