Written Answers. - School Transport.

Phil Hogan

Question:

159 Mr. Hogan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has received an application from Scoil Mhuire Bealach, Gowran, County Kilkenny, regarding the re-organisation of the school bus service to cater for 12 additional children; and if he will give a decision in this regard. [23899/99]

Liam Aylward

Question:

163 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will consider the submission by the management of Scoil Mhuire Bealach, Gowran, County Kilkenny, to re-introduce a pick up point which was withdrawn several years ago in view of the fact that there are five children from that area attending the school. [23965/99]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 159 and 163 together.

My Department is currently examining the application for an extension of the transport service to the school in question.

The Deputies will be informed of the outcome as soon as possible.
