Vol. 511 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Dan Neville

Question:

77 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the reason a REP scheme payment was not made to a person (details supplied) on six acres which he has on long-term lease from the Office of Public Works. [23959/99]

The land in question is included in the applicant's agri-environmental plan as land where the unexpired lease period is under five years. Leased land must have a five year lease to be eligible for REPS. This land is, therefore, ineligible for payment from REPS.

Michael Ring

Question:

78 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive 1999 sheep and cattle headage and premia. [23964/99]

The 1999 area aid application for the person named has now been fully processed, and any payments due will issue as soon as possible.
