Vol. 511 No. 6

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

John Perry

Question:

177 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) will receive a 1999 sheep and ewe premium payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24828/99]

The person named was not an applicant under the 1999 sheep schemes. However, he is now registered as owner under the herd number of an applicant under the 1999 sheep schemes who died last January. In this case payment will be made to the executor of the estate of the deceased on foot of a copy of the grant of probate. The person named was informed on 22 July 1999 that the grant of probate should be lodged in the local office in order that the payment could be made. To date, this documentation has not been submitted by the person named.

Question:

178 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when a person (details supplied) will receive 1999 cattle headage in view of the fact that he has rights of commonage; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24829/99]

The person named included commonage in his 1999 area aid application, but did not provide proof of his entitlement to claim this commonage. The herdowner has been informed of this and his application cannot be processed further until this proof is provided.
