323 Mr. Higgins (Mayo) asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will approve the application of Mayo County Council in respect of Killala sewerage treatment plant, Killala, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25261/99]
The Killala sewerage scheme is included in my Department's 1999 water and sewerage services investment programme as a scheme to be advanced through planning. The preliminary report for the scheme will be considered further by the Department on receipt of the results of the marine outfall survey from the local authority.
