351 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the proposals, if any, she has to grant aid improvement works to Barrett's Pier, Furnish, Lettermullen, County Galway; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [24956/99]
My Department sanctioned a grant of £40,000 for Galway County Council earlier this year to enable it to carry out a survey of Gaeltacht piers and harbours. The pier referred to by the Deputy is specifically included as one of the piers to be surveyed.
Once the results of this survey have been received by my Department the matter will be further considered.
