66 Mr. Gilmore asked the Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment the position regarding the claim against the State by Anglo Irish Beef Processors arising from a decision to cancel certain export credit insurance; and if she will make a statement on the matter. [25033/99]

Anglo Irish Beef Processors International Limited initiated proceedings against the State in 1989 in response to a decision by the Minister to void certain export credit cover. The plaintiffs lodged an amended statement of claim in 1995. Pleadings in the case have not been finalised as yet.
