Written Answers. - School Management Structures.
The provisions of section 14 of the Education Act, 1998, reflect my commitment to bring about representative school management structures. My approach to achieving this objective will continue to be based on consultation and consensus.
In the case of comprehensive schools, my Department has consulted with all the relevant partners and obtained their views. Based on the outcome of these discussions, I am at present considering how best to proceed. When I have fully reflected on the matter, I intend to revert to the partners with proposals for achieving representative boards throughout the sector.
