Vol. 512 No. 3

Written Answers - Departmental Staff.

John Perry

Question:

194 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Finance if a transfer will be granted for a person (details supplied) in view of the fact she is on the transfer list; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [25891/99]

The situation is that transfers to provincial locations are arranged in accordance with an agreement reached with the staff side at general council under the conciliation and arbitration scheme for the Civil Service. An officer's placing on the transfer list for a particular location is fixed in order of date of receipt of the application in the Department concerned. Whenever the relevant placing on the transfer list is reached, the officer will at that stage be considered for transfer.
