Vol. 512 No. 3

Written Answers - Sanitary Facilities.

Dan Neville

Question:

286 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason toilet facilities and hand wash facilities are not available to gardaí operating from the special detective unit in Harcourt Square, Dublin 2. [26158/99]

Toilet and hand wash facilities are provided on each floor of the special detective unit, Harcourt Square, and are available for use by all staff operating from the unit.

With regard to members of the unit on static protection duty, in the first instance, the entitlements of property owners and local residents must be acknowledged and, within these constraints, every effort is made to ensure that appropriate facilities are provided.
