The person named applied on 70 beef cows under the 1999 cattle headage scheme. Clause 25 of the terms and conditions governing the scheme provides that payment is calculated on a maximum of 40 livestock units where the animals applied on are beef cows. The person named was paid his full entitlement of £3,360, based on 40 beef cows, on 28 September 1999.
148 Mr. McGinley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development when 1998 and 1999 sheep headage will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal. [25915/99]
One of the parcels claimed by the person named in his 1998 and 1999 area aid applications overlaps with a parcel of land claimed by another applicant. The person named was contacted in this regard but has not to date furnished satisfactory documentation to support his claim that he is in fact leasing the parcel concerned. He has been contacted again and a response is awaited.
Additionally the herdowner in this case included commonage in his 1999 area aid application, but did not provide proof of his entitlement to claim this commonage. The herdowner has also been informed of this and his application cannot be processed further until both matters have been resolved.
