163 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development the number of staff employed at his Department's office in Waterford in each of the past five years; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26043/99]

The staff numbers in my Department's office in Waterford over the past five years are as follows;

	Total Staff
1995	39.5
1996	42.5
1997	43.5
1998	42
1999	43.5

The deployment of staff at all offices is kept under ongoing review with the aim of ensuring the best possible service to the Department's clients.
