The total receipts from the Irish excise duty on tickets issued for travel overseas by air or sea in 1998 was £16.67 million. As the Deputy is aware, I announced in my recent budget that this excise duty will be abolished with effect from 1 January 2000. The estimated yield for 2000 was £20 million.
